Cardio Weight Training
Cardio Weight Training is a combination of Step Aerobic exercise incorporating
dumbbells and a kettlebell. Warming up with step movements on and off the step bench
utilizing low dumbbell weights, progressing to medium weights and finally, with the
higher more challenging dumbbell weights. The kettlebells are used in between step
routines and dumbbell work to challenge the participant’s workload as well as the heart
rate. The class starts off working the upper body, (shoulder, arms, back, chest), with the
dumbbells and then, working the lower half of the body with lunges and squats. The
cardio section of the class ends with a little bit of abdominal work and yoga planks, if

that emphasizes learning the importance of proper technique.
A class focused on full body strength training and cardio training that primarily uses
battle ropes along with a variety of other equipment to condition the muscles in specific
movements or patterns that cannot be achieved by just lifting weights. Ropes
emphasize shoulder and core strength while engaging the lower body.
Also just a class that offers a switch up from a person’s usual lifting routine and/or a
place to blow off steam while making waves with ropes or throwing medicine balls.
